What we sew here
Umpire Keynote is a small dressmaking atelier for adults who want clothing cut to their body, not pulled from a rack. We draft, baste, fit, and finish on site in Busan.
- Made-to-measure daywear, coats, and evening silhouettes from client-chosen cloth
- Two or three fittings as standard for structured pieces — muslin when the cut demands it
- Hand-finished hems, buttonholes, and lining work where the fabric asks for it
- Alterations on garments we made; selective external alterations by appointment

Studio checklist
Bring what helps us sew accurately. Everything else we can discuss at the first visit.
- Shoes and underlayers you expect to wear with the finished garment
- A reference photo or garment you already like for proportion — not for copying logos
- Measurements we take ourselves; older charts from other shops are a starting hint only
- Time for standing still during fitting pins — usually 45–70 minutes
- Patience for drying time on silk and wool press work between appointments

Cloth cost is quoted separately when you select meterage. Final totals depend on lining, interfacing, and finishing.
Questions we hear often
Do you sew children’s clothing?
No. Umpire Keynote focuses on adult made-to-measure garments. We keep our forms, blocks, and fittings sized for grown clients.
How long does a typical commission take?
Simple daywear often lands in four to six weeks after fabric is confirmed. Coats and evening pieces usually need six to ten weeks, depending on fittings and cloth delivery.
Can I bring my own fabric?
Yes, if the cloth is suitable for the design. We inspect weight, grain, and recovery before cutting. Unstable knits or damaged bolts may be declined.
What happens at the first visit?
We talk silhouette, lifestyle, and budget, take measurements, and review fabric options. You leave with a written estimate in KRW and a proposed fitting calendar.
Do you ship outside Busan?
Final pickups are preferred in atelier so we can check hang and hem on you. Domestic courier is available only after a successful final fitting in person.
