Privacy policy

This notice explains how Umpire Keynote Atelier (“we”), located at 88 Gwangbok-ro, Jung-gu, Busan 48939, South Korea, handles personal information in connection with our made-to-measure dressmaking services and this website. We process personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea (PIPA) and guidance issued by the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC).

What we collect and why

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, measurement notes, fitting preferences, garment specifications, and payment or deposit references needed to fulfil a commission. Website forms may collect the fields you submit. Cookie preference choices may be stored locally on your device. We use this information to schedule visits, sew garments, issue estimates in KRW, and respond to messages. We do not sell personal information.

Legal basis and retention

Processing is based on contract performance for sewing services, legitimate atelier operations, and, where required, your consent (for example optional analytics cookies). We retain client records for as long as needed to complete the garment, handle aftercare, and meet bookkeeping or dispute periods under Korean law, then delete or anonymise them when no longer required.

Sharing and overseas transfer

We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing. Limited processors (for example email or hosting providers) may process data on our instructions under confidentiality. If a transfer outside Korea becomes necessary, we will take measures required under PIPA and inform you where the law requires notice.

Your rights under PIPA

You may request access, correction, deletion, or suspension of processing of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, subject to exceptions in PIPA. You may also lodge a complaint with the Personal Information Protection Commission (PIPC) or other competent Korean authorities if you believe your rights have been infringed.

Security and updates

We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small atelier. No method of transmission is perfectly secure; please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive data by unsecured channels. We may update this policy; the current version is always posted on this page.
